Water spray on fresh vegetables in sink

Vegetables form an important part of your diet even if you are a meat-eater. There are certain things that need to be taken care of when washing these fresh veggies. Never cut the vegetables before washing them thoroughly as they will lose the nutrients.

Dip them in a bowl of water and let the dust and dirt lodged on the vegetables wash away properly. In case of green leafy veggies, soak them in a large bowl of water for about 5 minutes. Since they grow in the soil, they have lots of mud clinging to the leaves that needs to be washed off.
